MCSoC gathers researchers, engineers, and industry professionals from all over the world once a year to discuss the state-of-the-art in embedded multicore and many-core systems-on-chip, and to explore the future direction of heterogeneous computing. It is considered the most important event in Japan's embedded SoCs industry and highly anticipated by local companies, bringing together scientists and engineers actively engaged in research, design, and development across architecture, VLSI design, embedded AI, and energy-efficient computing.
Since 2026, MCSoC has also featured two global summits held alongside the main symposium — the MCSoC‑NeuroCore Global Summit on Neuromorphic Systems and Brain‑Inspired Computing, and the MCSoC‑EmbodiCore Global Summit on Embodied AI and Distributed Autonomous Systems — creating new opportunities for collaboration across academia, industry, and government.
Hosted in countries spanning Asia, Europe, and North America, MCSoC continues to grow in significance as embedded and heterogeneous computing become increasingly central to the future of intelligent systems. MCSoC 2027 marks the symposium's 20th edition, to be hosted at The University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo, Japan.
